Την Πέμπτη 27 Απριλίου 2017 οι Σχολικοί Σύμβουλοι Φιλολόγων Σερρών σε συνεργασία με τα 4ο και 5ο Γυμνάσια Σερρών, τη Δημόσια Κεντρική Βιβλιοθήκη Σερρών, τον Σύνδεσμο Φιλολόγων του Νομού Σερρών και το Ινστιτούτο Ρητορικών και Επικοινωνιακών Σπουδών Ελλάδας (Ι.Ρ.Ε.Σ.Ε.) πραγματοποίησαν ενδοσχολική επιμόρφωση των μαθητών των 4ου και 5ου Γυμνασίων Σερρών με θέμα τη ρητορική τέχνη.
